Lumiere & Company (1995)

Peter Greenaway made a 52 second short film for the Lumiere & Company collection of short films. It relates images from the origin of the Lumiere Brothers' first camera in 1895 to the present day.

"I do indeed think that cinema is mortal. There is a lot of evidence already that it is dying on its feet".
